Wait..you're 'sposed to change the oil filter every 7 years? I just can't keep up with this maintenance schedule.

Seriously though, my service manual says to change oil every 1500 miles for cold weather riding. That's like once a month!

The ol' screw driver through the filter works every time. A bit messy though but better than taking the whole mount off..

And THAT's exactly why I ended up taking the whole caboodle off my FZS - once you've torn the filter you're well and truly fooked. These days I have more sympathetic ways of getting them off!
