I don't know if any mods were done by PO, but there don't seem to be any. I have had it running about 6 weeks and getting 42 to 43 so far. I can tell that it is running lean as reported about the '07's.

Completely stock 09 Street Bob. I usually get 45 mpg.

I live in a fairly "rural" part of Florida, so about 55 mph or higher in most areas around me.

I have a 64 mile round trip to work and through rolling hills and I run consistently at 50mpg. Best was 55mpg and worst was 45mpg when it was new. I haven't seen below 50 in a while!! I hot rod around town in the mix too, but mostly hwy.

Being the anal retentive person I am and as such keep records on everything....... here goes:
Bike purchased & papers signed at 11:49am Friday May 11, 2007. I was a first time 57 yr old female rider and truthfully little apprehensive about this bike. I was in the process of taking the Riders Edge course that very weekend my bike was delivered to to the dealer and had never ridden anything other than the Buel Blast I was going to be assigned to the next day. In 2007 I Rode it 10 times ( averaged 77 miles per ride) and nothing over 55mph. In 2008 I lowered the bike and got more confidence with every ride. Experienced fiirst ride on a freeway and went over 70mph that year and crossed the Mackinaw Bridge and rode the grates. Now imagine being 200 feet above the water in the wind and riding the entire center span on open steel grates. There are truckers who wont drive their rigs across this bridge.
Actually, Michigan provides drivers for those who fear driving their vehicles across. For those of you who are unfamiliar with "The Mighty Mac" which connects the lower and upper peninsula of Michigan, the picture below speak volumes.
In 2008 rode 12 times ( averaged 135 miles per ride)

2009...really having fun this year. Got V&H new pipes, PCIII SES1A/C had the fuel to air ratio increased to enrich the mixture and had it dyno tuned
In 2009 Rode 18 times ( averaged 138 miles per ride) with half being highway/higher speed riding.
Here are my stats. I save every gas receipt and calculate mileage after every ride.
The drop in MPG in 2009 was directly related to the increase in fuel to air ratio which makes my bike run cooler, but uses more fuel.

2007 averaged 48.7 mpg
2008 averaged 47.6 mpg
2009 averaged 43.7 mpg

LWOS, WOW!
60 mile a day round trip to work DFW metromess, 29 to 33 mpg, but I twist a lot of throttle, I have an advanced PCIII map from Fuel Moto that I have tweaked for top performance the best I can get without a dyno run and have installed the accelerator pump utility turned to 75x20x15, I don't ride for mileage. I'm going on a 300 mile run today be interesting to calculate hwy miles, been so long since I have I forget stats.

2009 fat bob, Mixed driving including 75mph interstate (80 mile one way commute) and 40 mph weekend site seeing

46 +/-1 mpg out the door

Adding slip ons and XiED dropped mileage to 40 +/-2 mpg

Pulled the XiEDs, installed TTS did Vtune with .78 CLB offset (a little richer than stock) and now get 45 +/-1 mpg.

Your MPH may increase after the motor breaks in more, also average 3-4 tanks. My FXDL 04 with stage 1 gets 44MPG.
