Default braided fuel line with disconnect

Hey gang, I know some of you guys are running that braded ss crossover line maybe the one from harley or russell but I'm trying to find something along those lines with the disconnect in it. I've got an 06 streetbob and althought I do want to change the line out for a stainless line, I'm not gonna do it unless I can find one with a disconnect. Any of you guy have that? Did you buy it or fab it yourself, as long as it takes no specialized tooling, I could do that too if need be. Everything I see online is older bikes and only up to about 03 dyna, what would be different, as long as dia and length are correct. I have had my tank off and on a few times so if it don't have a disconnect in it, I'm kind of waisting my time. Thanks.

Do an eBay search for:
Chromed Brass Fuel Quick Disconnect Harley Crossover

I think you'll find just what you are looking for.

I got one, but wouldn't work with the tank lift. There isn't enough flex in it by the time they get the connections on there. I'm still running the black hose with 'fancy' hose clamps after the tank swap...

Just get one of these and put it in your crossover line. Check to see what the inner diameter of your hose is first.

You will have to make your own line, but the disconnects are available on ebay for about 50.00, well worth it.
They will work with a 2" tank lift if you make your own, just make the lines long enough. Do not buy the plastic one, and make sure it is a dual disconnect or you are wasting your time and money.
You can buy SS fuel line and chrome clamps from JP or similar.

excellent, thanks for the replies, I had been looking for the whole thing made up but not really thinking about buying a disconnect and making my own, I'll do that instead especially since I have the 2 inch tank lift. Thanks again amigos....

Wow! I paid $40 for my braided fuel line delivered. With the disconnect that would be $90 for a crossover line.

While a "neat' thing to have, way out of my price range for convenience.

Worth every penny if you ever have to pull or drain the tank.

I'm thinking of swapping tanks in the future and these disconnects look really cool. I have a question. Will the fuel pressure and flow be affected with a EFI tank?

I have found absolutely no difference with one installed. Just make sure you order the right size, I believe most Dyna's are 1/4" crossover, but be sure to verify yours.
