I agree that I need to get some ride time on the Harley. That will be the deciding factor.
The victory was very loud on the downshift. To the point that it was embarassing. I took a jackpot out as well and it wasn't nearly as loud.
I like the fact that there alseems to be more options for customizing with the Harley. That was a good point made by a few. I am in a New England state so it's getting cold but hopefully I can get out before the temps really drop.

I've never had to make the Victory-Harley comparison, all I know is that when I bought there was no question that is was going to be a Harley, which one was a different story. Deciding on a Dyna turned out to be the best decision even though at the time I didn't know it. I have many avenues for customization, and if I'm in a slump I can come here and within an hour I have a few thousand dollars of ideas of what to do next.

i was looking at the same bikes you are (diffrent years) once i rode the Vic i was SOLD !!!!! with just an air box, pipes, and a tune i am making 90 WHP and 100 ft pounds. The bike is a blast to ride. I have had no problems with the bike in 3 years. I like it so much we bought a 2008 vegas low for my wife to ride.
The aftermarkt parts are coming around their are more and more of them all the time.
of course looks are all dependant on the person BUT i think this looks better than most of the street bobs i have seen (it is a little blacker now but this is the best pic i have)

In My Opinion Only
I have had many Dyna's (the best handling Harleys for an all around ride)
Will never let you down A very Versitle bike for the money and will retain value better than a Victory
Besides look at that rear fender just to accomidate the tail light there is too much space back there looks like a doughnut spare rear tire tooo much space there
Go with the history of the Dyna
