Thanks Dave - originally the plan was to black everything out but after painting the tins white, the chrome really grew on me. The black bars, risers, and fork legs give a bit of contrast though, which I like. When I do the shocks I'll probably go black too.

Very nice. That'll look good. This is the bike that inspired the color scheme for me. Just for grins..

After seeing my old fat bob run around it got better of me. I miss the old club style and had to do something about it. Ordered some west coast bars for the new road glide and next is full suspension upgrade. It's no hot rod dyna or fxrt but it'll be a fine substitute

Only had this thing a couple weeks, got the basics done- exhaust, bars, headlight and a cheapy $30 bikini fairing off eBay that happened to match my paint pretty well. Needs some powdercoat, some motor work, a more comfy seat etc etc...

Looks good, emerican19. A 2001 is a great base to start with.

You put Slingshots in your Defender, right? I think I saw you recommend Lucky Daves somewhere on here, is that what you're running here? If so, any differences worth mentioning? I'm looking at both, and they basically look about the same.

Nice progress on this new one, by the way.
