Default 09 Street Bob - Front Turn Signal Relocation

I've searched the formum on this topic and I've found a lot of posts, but none that really answer my question. How exactly do you wire the turn signals when you relocate them? I've also looked at the HD instructions for their kit and don't really understand it. Maybe I need a Wiring for Dummies book. Once you remove the wires from the connector under the frame, what do you do? Where do the wires go? Stupid questions, I know, but please be kind.

Thanks.

The HD kit comes with a strap you bolt to the bottom of the triple tree. You run the wires to it and then back into the grommets in the side of the neck.

I had the same questions. Getting the pins out of the connector was the toughest part.

Basically you:
move the tank back to gain access to the wiring under the frame
unclip the signal wires and pull them out of the frame
remove the signals from the bars
remove the pins from the connectors
run the wires through the new mounts
push the pins back into the connector
put them on the forks
run the wires back into the frame
plug them back in

That should be it.

You have internally wired bars. To relocate them you'd have to cut them and re splice them. or maybe there’s another way I don’t know yet. I’m doing mine to but I am waiting now till I change out bars, as that’s the most opportune time to do it.

I swapped out my mini-apes and my new handelbar isn't internally wired, so hopefully it will be easier. Thanks for the info. I just couldn't picture how to do it.

If you don't want to route the wires back into the large rubber grommets on the side of the neck, there is a small hole at the underside of the base of where the neck is welded to the steering tube.
