Wide Glide Rear Fender onto a Fat Bob

This thread completely changed my mind on what bike I'd like to get.
I was set on the street bob because I can't stand the look of the stock Fat bob fender.
Everything else on the Fat bob, in my opinion, is better though. (dual disks, 103", mag wheels, tire sizing).
Glad I stumbled across this thread. Excellent work!

Greatscott, do you have any tips on painting that rear fender to match the tank denim black? Also, is your rear tire centered with the struts? Mine has maybe like an inch gap on the left side and about 1.75 inches on the right. I didn't really notice this until I went to put on a wide glide fender this weekend.

Lads,
I was just wondering about the mod. Before I start ordering the parts for the rear fender, is there any cutting of the original frame required.
Also maybe this is one for Great Scott or FatGlidin but the lower shocks finish the rear end off and was wondering where the best place is to get the Burlys. Does the lower position change the riding position that much?
Many thanks,
Al
