I'm thinking of buying this 2005 Dyna from auction pics. Some mods have been done, but without actually physically looking at it I cannot determine what this line is that runs up from between the jug and exhaust pipe and bolts on to both air breather bolts.
Any ideas?

That's just it, no pic of the other side to see where it ends. Can you tell if it's EFI or carb from that mod? The owner doesn't know much about it other than it runs well.
I would venture a guess that the line dumps between the trans case and inner primary case. Also venturing another guess, looks like a black plastic carb cover just behind the air cleaner.
You mentioned an 05, are you aware of the valve guide seal issues some 05's had? Don't mean to scare you.
No, I'm not aware of that or any other issues. This would be my first Dyna if I follow through. Any tips would be appreciated as I won't have any service records for it.
The only thing I know is that this Dyna has been dropped with a 3" ding on one side of the tank which I know I could remedy easy enough with some body work. Never been in a accident, 6,300 miles.
Some 05's had the wrong valve guide seals installed during factory assembly. Pull your plugs, if they like black/oily/sooty you may have the bad seals. If the plugs are tan and dry you have a winner. Some dealers may honor the valve guide seal repairs, some may not. The superglide is an excellent bike to start your customizing and making it yours.

Yeah, just a crude crankcrase breather line. Probably has the little round filter on the other end. Someone put an aftermarket air cleaner on it. I would have used the chome steel breather line assembly.
