Default Electrical problem

hey guys, im hoping you can help me out. when i press the left turn signal on my bike, the hazard lights turn on and the little red key light flash (right signal works fine). the bike has the factory security system and an aftermarket tail light with build in LED signals. the dealership told me that i might have moisture in the switch housing from washing it but i blew it out with copressed air and still have the problem. this has been going on for a few weeks now. as i let the bike warm up tonight before my evening ride, i also noticed that the tail light was flickering as the bike was idleing.
anyone have any ideas or suggestions for troubleshooting, i really dont want to take it to the stealer if it isnt nessasary.
Thanks!

Did this problem occur coincidentally with your taillight modification? If so, you could try reconnecting the original taillight to see if this cures the fault. LED lights can do crazy things to your lights if not fitted correctly.

See if you're throwing any codes. I think your procedure would be the same as my '06.
1) Run/Stop switch to Run
2) Hold in your trip reset button while turning Ignition switch on
3) Release trip button
4) Watch speedo needle sweep, speedo indicator icons light
5) Odometer should display "diag"
6) Push trip reset button to step thru "P-S-Sp-T" (ECU, TSSM, Speedo, Tach)
7) With first "S" flashing, hold trip button in for ~ 5-sec. If there are any "codes", the first one will be displayed. Write it down. Trip button push will step thru codes if more than one, or display "none". Another push will display p/n of your TSSM module. Holding the trip button in for >5-sec. will clear a displayed code. Step thru other modules the same way to see any codes from them. Turn Ign.Sw. off to quit. Do a Forum search on "Dyna codes" to find a list of codes/meanings.
