Question Baker IPB replacement

I have an 06 WG that has had the IPB failure at 16000 and now I hear it at 38000 mile. I know that Harley has replaced the tranny case and inner primary with a new bearing if you have multiple failures.

I talked with Baker Drivetrain about their high torgue bearing kit and they say it will cure my IPB problem. It is a one piece bearing that presses into the inner primary and slips onto the tranny shaft.

With all the IPB failures out there, has anybody here used Bakers bearing and is it working for you?

Harley will take 3 weeks to get a stamped tranny case and then have to do the work and they won't order the case without taking the primary apart first. I can see that they would want to see the bad bearing first, but that's a lot of down time. I figure I can do it myself and also tack weld the screws on the stator at the same time.

Baker told me the same thing plus he said that they will fit the 07's. I ask about the Drag Specialties description and he said it needed updating.
