When I rode the wide glide on the demo run I did find that the front did seem to break away a little, which was a little unnerving. That said, the tires only had 50-60 miles on them, so they were not exactly scrubbed in either. Aren't the WGs running the SE dunlops? I know the rear is, but I did not look at the front. Any way it is a nice ride. I am a little jealous, if they had this particular WG when I bought my 07' SB it would have been a tough call on which to buy. I am not big on the 09' up SB rear fender and tail light, so if I were buying now, hands down I would pick the WG. Don't beat me up, the SB is still a nice bike, just my opinion.

If anyone has a 2010 WG could you do me a favor and measure the width of the front hub?

There is nothing wrong with the skinny front tire. I've ridden across the country on mine, and all type of riding in between.

People act as if grooves in the road throw you all over the place. Not true. All exaggerated BS.

If you're not comfortable with it, don't run with it on. But rest assured there's nothing to worry about.

Skinny tires and narrow bikes are the Only way to go!

Put a Metzler 90/90 on it and you won't have to worry about traction.
Made a huge difference on mine, even on the tar snakes.
Oh, and I've heard a skinny 21" wheel is supposed to be smoother over potholes than others.
