hey guys do any of you know where i could get a custom swing arm set up for a wide rear tire for an 84 fxr? ive seen the kits for the newer ones but none for the older fxr's

You will be able to off set the trans and that end of it no problem, but may get into a custom swing arm. Get some measurements of distance between current mounting of swingarm and I can compare to some of the new stuff to see if may work, otherwise not that difficult to have one made, probably less then buying stock swingarm from dealer
I can't help you find the swingarm kit you are looking for, but I would like to comment on how awesome I think your bike looks. I really like the rear turns. I have seen them in the magazines and thought of doing that myself, but they say they are supposed to be used as marker lights not turn signals. Is this just because of the size? Did you have any problems wiring them up as turnsignals?
hey thanks guys, yea i did find some kits on google but there all for the newer models.....which was my problem, those blinkers work awesome, i love em, no really hooked up them so ya gotta just push the button in and out, but there sweet
