Default remove baffle

i was looking in the baffle on my stock exhaust on my fatbob.
i saw that their was small holes inside( on the side of the baffle ).
i am thinking that if i remove those 3 rivet that i could pull them out
to inlarge the holes... hope i can get them from the out side..is their
any material inside...is it easy to do.. i just want a bit more sound without
drilling that plate at the end....

I know a guy who drilled out his baffle plate and removed the fiberglass packing and his sound was very nice. drill 3/32" holes so as to pass wire tests! He said the removal went well, just drill out the three rivets holding the baffle in and replace them when you are done!

You know I've been thinking about the doing the same thing to my 08 street bob. I don't think it would hurt but what about if you don't have a fuel pack. Would it mess anything up?

As long as you have not changed your air cleaner you are good. The o2 sensors will adjust the air fuel ratio for you. Alot of people buy a pair of Xied's which are cheap quick and instantly fool your sensors to give more gas which will cool the temp.of your engine! I actually have a pair of Xied's I am not using "for sale"

Anyone else tried this? I am thinking about taking the baffles off of my 2010 Wide Glide - same exhaust.

How about if you remove the fiberglass packing and then just reinstall the stock baffles. Will the O2 sensors compensate for this?

I believe that he's referring to drilling the baffle end plate, hence his reference ton passing the wire test, IE; DOT sticking a wire up into the baffle to see if it's been removed.
