I've been running with none for a while because the stock ones stunk. I've tried a couple of solutions similar to yours but never liked them in the long run. I'm thinking of trying some from the Nightrain.
o.k. here's what you probably did not want to hear. take a look at the Rocker on the HD website. almost all stock tank emblems slant up a little (flow with the lines of the tank). yours looks a little too parallel to the ground. If you like it then "no problem". it kinda bothered me that it didn't look stock after I did my first set that looked like yours but were all silver. you may be able to dental floss them off and reheat with a hairdryer to reapply if you think you need to.
I agree! I was never happy with my tank emblem, I found a nice set of v-rod emblems that I think look good.
I myself like the badgeless look. smoooooth, I'd go that way myself but I like my 100th anniversary emblems. Still might end up pullin em offf eventualy

Yes, the dental floss works like a champ. After the emblem comes off you are left with some of the black double sided tape. To remove that I used an eraser that goes in my drill, used it on low speed and I was done in 15 minutes, clean and no damage to the tank.
