i did try posting on the softail page i got a couple of guys that would like front axle spikes for their crossbones but no body answered i guess they didnot buy the book either. I will go back to emailing the dealer to call me at work. and again thank you for all of your help guys henry

if you do your own wrenching, the parts manual is also hepful with parts placement/order of installation.
i have always had a service manual AND a parts manual for every bike I've ever owned.

Service manual and parts manual. First two items I purchase before anything else when I go to build a bike. Parts catalog can be more helpful at times even more so then the service manual. It's always nice requesting parts by the numbers anyway. Not just with Chicago HD but also the knucklehead behind the parts counter who can't tell the difference between a sealed bearing from a wheel spacer....

The parts manuals is a "service" that you can get for free, on the web from all the japanese, italians, gernans, etc, etc, manufacturers.
For Harley, you must pay for it... This is very small.
This is the bases of commerce. If you spread the information, you make things easy and you sale more.
...And you make the consumer happy
