Another Dyna Springer (pictures)
Been lurking here for awhile. Figured it was about time I made a post.
Just about finished with my springer conversion. Just so happened I found a set of pipes, from a place that parts out bikes, so I decided to make a full swoop and get some things done.
Lowered 2 inches, fenders are from oldies or something http://www.oldinc.com/oldys.htm . They are glass obviously.
Springer, duh. I dunno how everybody else did theirs but I machined the upper and lower triple trees, made a custom headlight mount. I dont know if its going to jive because it bounces around..
I used the stock 06 dyna wheel (aka 1inch axle) so I just had 3/4" bearings pressed in (19+30 labor) since the springer uses a 3/4" axle. I could have used a 1 inch axle which would be interesting, but new rockers would have had to be machined. I mocked up the wheel and tire on sunday (pics where taken then). Had some black Iron steel pipe in 3/4 so I made some spacers. Low and behold the 5 inch axle spacer blank (stainless) I ordered comes in today.
The pictures of the fender being cut, are what I did to it to make it not look like an FL fender. Hopefully it worked.

Ill post more when I get the front fender on.
Let me know what you think, even if its bad. Only way to learn.
