Default Harley Bullet Headlight replacement

Does anyone know how to replace the bulb in the HD Bullet headlight? I cannot find my instructions and before I go screwing it up I thought I would ask here first.

It's somewhat of a pain in a
&nbsp\\;
1/16-inch allen wrench, remove outer
set screw at bottom of headlamp shell.
&nbsp\\;
Remove the tiny chrome trim ring that is against the edges of the headlamp glass
&nbsp\\;
Then there is another trim ring that is to be turned counter clockwise to release and there should be an oring behind it
&nbsp\\;
Then pull out the sealed beam unit
&nbsp\\;
Now its just as simple as twisting the bulb out, replaceing it and putting it all back together the way you found it

I took the outer (most forward) set screw&nbsp\\;completely out and the front trim ring still does not come off.

Why did they have to make it suck a pain in the **** to change the bulb???

If youve got the tool it is for turning the second ring counter clockwise after you get the little chrome ring off. H-D literally suggests using packing tape to stick onto the outermost chrome ring to pull it out *LOL

I got the three prong tool. So I gues mine is just being a pain. Time to go at it again. Thanks for the info.

Ah, the outside chrome ring is screwed on also. I thought it was just a set screw holding it in. Once I got that it came off with just a few problems. That inner ring would get real tight and didn't seem to want to come out. LOL
