I've been running with these on my fxdp since 02 when I bought the bike. I really like these, but they have a couple quirks. You dont have the leg room like you do with floorboards on a softail or a FL. Also, you cant really get your foot under the shift peg for your upshifting, you really need to use the heel shift all the time. the electra glide gives you alot more room between the shifter and the footboard for your boot to fit into.
I've often thought I should just put forward controls on the dyna, to give me more room to stretch out.

Great writeup and pics!
Have always wanted boards on my '03 WG, just never found anything that looked like it would work, especially given the engine guard on mine. I'm wondering if your mods might not work on mine.....I picked up a forward control setup off an '03 Super Glide so I could mount some mid pegs for long rides, wonder if those pieces might not help with modding it for boards....hmmmm
RandyS purchased the footboards but yes they would have worked perfect on your bike. The 03 Wide Glide was the first bike I saw them on, he had Nostalgic footboard inserts and it looked fantastic on his bike!!
Which ones did he buy? The rider or passenger ones you had for sale?
