Use the clutch and just about any bike can be wheelied if you've got the skill. The guy wheelying this Wing was a well-known and well-liked Brit bike journo named Ron Smith. Killed while riding his scooter home from work of all things....

its not all about power, although it helps. your biggest hurdle is those low shocks. with the bike that low, it'll just want to break loose. in the case of wheelies, taller is better.....

Did one last year by accident on my 06 Bob. Came home from work around midnight..stopped at a stop sign in a rural area where i sometimes run her through the gears. Front came up about 2 feet..scared the crap outta me!! Somehow i remembered to keep the forks straight when i landed. Just a stage 1 setup on an 88..no problem with enough power....
Any thing with wheels can wheelie, you just gotta know what your doing lol. Rev up to 4 grand and dump your clutch and you'll be surprised what your trusty steed will do. Yeah some more HP helps and a good pipe. Check out these guys, there from my home town.
that guy can ride. just gon't buy a bike from him!
thats my homie jay. hes had those both same bikes for years, he dont sell them, just keeps em runnin. and hes mostly just hard on the brakes clutch and tires. motors actually last him a long time.......

As an ex sport bike & dirt bike rider, I'm used to doing wheelies by just twisting the throttle. I've never felt like I'd even *want* to do a wheelie on my WG. Seems to me, with the added rake, the front end would take some serious abuse if I came down too hard.
I have, on a couple of occasions, when riding extremely aggressively and hitting second very hard, had the front wheel lift a few inches.
