It definitely takes skill to pull alot of this stuff off, but keep in mind his bikes are obvioulsy modified for this type of stuff. Sliders and the right front end components make a big difference in controlling the bike during these maneuvers.
I agree with apes its a bitch, I have pulled a few w baby apes, never full apes. On my almost stock Bob I can and do catch a good amount of air now and then, try to keep it within reason but its fun so I probly do more n I should.

I was surprised when I pulled one in 2nd running hard when the bob was still stock. From a standstill, get the revs right and let the clutch out quickly and a stock 96 will do it easily, at least with mid pegs. The mini apes on the streetbob give you something to tug on to coax her up - fun but as others have said, a little hard on the drivetrain
