2014 FB with figure machine a/c. V&H fp3 tuner. Lowered the rear end 1.5 inches. V&H big radius 2 into 2 exhaust. Removed the lower heat shield and wrapped them with DEI titanium wrap. Removed front sigs and a sick saddle seat. Also plasti dipped several parts. Still have a few more things to do before I am done.

This thread is a gazillion years old. For the record I had a guy trying to sell me his Fat Bob. It was slightly used. He musta thought I was an Idiot because he gave me the bullshit about all the upgrades he did. the only upgrade I saw was an LED tail light. He wanted the price of a new bike in 2013 for a 2010 Fat bob. I went with my 05 Super Glide with 3 thousand miles on it for well under 10 Grand. Don't regret it a bit.

Glidester,
No argument, this thread's old. Mind you, it's awesome to see the it's not worn out or broken - still going after 311 pages and recent posts (other than mine).
I've been following it for years (since I first rode an FXDF in 2010 - rented one while I was on Leave in FL). Never posted, because circumstances haven't been favourable to pulling the trigger until this year - would've felt like I was posting as a poser without a steed.
As for your experience, it's a shame that ***-hats are here, too; followed some good trains, though, and the ***-hats still seem to outnumbered. Well done on your buy.
Cheers.

Dude - this FatBos is sic!!!! Love the titanium wrap on the big radius pipes and Figure Machine breather.[/QUOTE]
Thanks man. The titanium wraps are so much easier to deal with. No presoaking, no fiber glass and best of all the only smoke for about 20 to 30 miles. I wasn't a huge fan of the big radius so instead of getting new pipes I tried to change the looks. Also installed big city monster thunder baffles. Now I love the pipes

Does that come as a kit ?
Are those different tips on the pipes ? and did you just remove the lower shields and tape over the upper shield ?
What end fastenings did you use ? they look chromed ?
Nice bike dude

The wrap wasn't a kit. The materials I used all came from amazon. I ordered:
-2 rolls of 25 ft DEI titanium wrap
-Vktech 12 inch exhaust cable zip ties
-1 can DEI'S 1500 degree black silicone spray.
-2 vance and hines exhaust port gaskets
I started off by removing the pipes from the bike and took off both heat shields. I lightly sanded the pipes and sprayed them with the silicone paint. This isn't required but it helps protect the pipes from rust and gives them a little more heat protection. I reinstalled the upper heat shield and left the lower one off (I never have liked the slash cuts on the lower heat shields). I started the wrap on the end and wrapped all the way to top of the upper heat shield. I would suggest putting the mounting bracket in the slot on the pipe prior to wrapping. It was very difficult to get it in place with the wrap on. Then i replaced the old exhaust port gaskets with new ones and reinstalled the pipes. They smoked for about 20 to 30 miles and that was all. Also if any of you guys wrap your pipes you need to know this. When you wash your bike either ride it or just let it idle until the wraps are completely dry. If not the wrap will hold moisture and rust the pipes. Hope this is helpful.
Ride safe.
