OK, I've got an '04 WG and get a bit of a clunk, but only if I hit a bump - never while just rolling forward and hitting the brakes. I've put the bike up on my jack and yanked the front end to feel for play and can't feel any. Still need to do my fall-away check though to make sure torque is good.Does this fix not apply toWide Glidesas early as 2004?

It came from HD I couldnt copy the pritty header info with the logo's, but you have seen that before.
I have no doubt it's authentic.
I'm simply looking for this on-line so that I can show my dealer when they try to weasel out of it. If you found this on HD's website I'd like to know where.
Thanks for posting this. I have been waiting for a decent day to take my bike in for this very problem. Hopefully this will help prevent any hassles. Muddyape, let us know what you find out.
