06 Dyna continues to fall under the heading 'Piece-O-Crap'.&nbsp\\; I wonder what else awaits us...

The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they'll be when you kill them.

IT is the generator/altenator to charge the battery.

Had my bike in 2 months ago because of primary noise. They checked the whole primary and re-torqued the comp nut. All quiet now. The 06 Dyna is not a POS at all. New design. With all new designs come issues thats all. Some day soon when the EPA standards force all bikes to be water cooled you will all have a sought after air cooled bike. 2011 is the big crackdown year for emissions for all IC engines from cars to lawnmowers. The 06-10 dyna design will be the latest of the last of the air cooled bikes made. I predict people will pay more than the original MSRP for one. Maybe I am crazy but that is what I see coming. You will have guys buying wrecked dynas just to be grandfathered into the emission specs for 2006.

And yes, there is a conversion kit to have a new stator and an one piece rotor, that´s what I ordered for my peace of mind. /Dan B
