Good Preventive Maintenance there, Mopar. I wish the dealer would do things like that, when they're in the primary anyway. But surely they operate under the [mistaken] concept that the MoCo always knows best, and those 8 little screws SHOULD never be an issue. One or two issues is an anomaly, but the dozens we've read about here points to a design weakness.

ok... gotta bring this back. mine just went out at just under 19000.
got a new rotor instal question. it seems like when i go to instal the new welded type, it is hitting up against my primary cover. anyone else have this issue? do i need to grind a bit on the primary or is there some trick to this?

yes. when i flip it opposite way, the spline will line up, but the rotor case seems to be hitting up against the primary case. when i look at the case, there is a lip, or extra metal just on the edge of primary. looks like if i grind that down a bit, it will slide in with no issue. did yours go right in with no issue?
