New Low Rider S
#1841
They told me they have to add the plug/connectors to the main harness (???)....so they will have to run the wire and do some soldering.....they're running the wires inside the bars so it will be a nice, clean install.....I didn't have them do it yet....I just paid for it and got the work order and receipt and put it in a gift box and stuck it under the Christmas tree......I have all the stuff to do it myself except for time.....right now.....crazy work schedule....trying to close out my projects before 12/31.....not to mention the Holidays......

I also put this in the general Dyna forum.
Need help installing a Memphis Shades Gauntlet Quarter Fairing on my Low Rider S.
Basically, can't get it mounted. It appears the headlight is in the way or maybe a little too high. Did anyone else with a S and Gauntlet have to switch out to a lower headlight block?
Read thru the instructions several times and tried to mount it, but finally gave up. I did remove the stock headlight fairing and all of the mounting hardware.
I have the mounting hardware for a 16 Street Bob.

I had to make sure all of the brackets were loose so you can move them around to adjust. Also, bonehead move, but originally I forgot to unlock the tabs at the top of the mounting brackets, so that didn't help. As others have suggested, you have to fiddle around with it to make it work, but once you get it on the first time, its alot easier to mount and remount. The instructions aren't as clear as they could be, in my opinion.

Cool do you have any photos from you sitting on the bike looking forward and head on photo of what it looks like? I am really considering going this route since the bike will be my daily drive starting in april

I've ran into this same problem, but I had also heard about this issue before my first install so it went quick. It can be frustrating enough to get it just right with everything a little loose.

Here's what I got. The photo from behind is not really from eye view. The photo from the front is mostly accurate in that the top of the fairing is about even with the tops of the mirrors. Also, do a search on buffeting for the quarter fairings. I'm getting very little buffeting which is tolerable and I haven't tried to adjust the angle of the fairing yet.
