Default Raked triple trees on a dyna

Ok, so after many posted threads, asking opinions and researching rake and trail, I decided to take a chance and put a set of 5 degree Hawg Halters trees on my super glide.

I will mention that I have 11" shocks in the rear and a 21x3.5 tire in the front. The Hawg Halters trees also extend the forks a little over an inch I believe as the forks sit on the bottom of the trees and have an offset.

I went with the wide glide conversion kit. I read many times that this would unsafe and create a high speed wobble. I had the kit installed and I think it looks great. I have not done any serious riding on it yet as the weather is now turning where I am.

I did take it out on the highway and got it up to 130 kms per hour and she rode steady. I really don't take it much faster than that, the most ever would be 140. I tried to push it a little more but I am in the city and would lose my license, lol.

I did notice that at slower speeds it felt like the front tire was slipping a bit when turning but seemed manageable.

Here is a couple of pics. My bullet headlight does not fit anymore so I have ordered an extension block. I have also raised the tank 2.25 " since these pics were taken.

If anyone is interested in doing the same, there you have it.

Let me know what you think

I think it looks badass. Those bars go great with the rake

5° makes more of a difference than I would have guessed. Looks nice, but that trail is down to almost nothing just judging by drawing lines with my eyes. If she's still stable, though...that's all that matters I guess.

Love the clean look of my Hawg Halter trees, looks good on yours too.

Where you will notice the difference is in the curves. It may give you a little bit of a mushy feel, all depends on your riding style.

Ride safe

Pretty happy with the results but I will have to wait to put some real miles on it in the spring. I'm more of a chilled out rider so I am not doing anything crazy. At least I know from my ride that the bike is safe. You can't see from these pics but the wide glide looks pretty sick too.

I just lifted the tank and still want to do a tall sissy bar and also a king/queen style le pera Cherokee seat.

This Dyna is costing me too much money!!!
