My questions is - Is there a benefit to going ahead and putting the tuner on now and tuning to the stock exhaust and air cleaner. Will be good practice. Also everything I can read says these run lean (and hot) from the factory. I am not unhappy with the stock performance, but hey....if it can be better let's do it. Also if it helps it run a little cooler, it has to be good for the bike in the long run. If I do go this way...what map would I put in for a stock softail?

Just looking for feedback from the guys who have experience. THANKS
I think it could only help. I'd use the same map you'd use for when you do have the stage 1 done. The V-tuning will be more important in your case, because the map will be looking for greater air-flow than what a stock setup can provide, but I think it is still the best starting point. That map is "AE176-002."

Thanks Steve. Anyone else have a suggestion for a map? I think I can upload what is in there and save it....but I cannot edit or tune from that right?

AF176 and change the cu in from 103 to 96 in Tuning Constants. It's an awesome map. All I have is an exhaust system, no AC. But the performance difference is staggering. Throttle response is explosive. The motor has low down torque that it didn't have before.

The bike is way more fun to ride now. Oh and I forgot to add that I checked mileage on the first fill up and it was 45.3mpg. I don't know how TTS does it. Cooler running, great mileage, and midrange power that is addictive.

Default Mastertune and SE 255 Cams

Has anybody used the mastertune with the SE 255 Cams. If so, i'm interested in their results. I looking to install these cams myself. I'm just going to do the cams with stock 96 displacement. I dont feel like going further at this time.

Thanx in advance

I'm in the same boat that you are. I'm installing the 255 cams this wknd & have the pcv. I'm waiting on a map from fuel moto so hopefully sometime next week I'll get it. Seriously considering TTS if the pcv doesn't pan out with the new cam.

I've got an '09 Crossbones with Hooker fourbidden pipes and an Arlen Ness Big Sucker intake. I'm scratchin' my mellon a bit trying to find the correct starting map. Also, The bike needs some timing taken out of it due to backfiring on decel. Not an exhaust leak and it's banging pretty good, not the usual "pop" you'd expect with new pipes. As a matter of fact, it'll do it sitting still in the garage when I rap on the throttle. Do I remove a few degrees of timing from the entire table using the typical "highlight the enrire table and then decrement" procedure used in other tables? Which specific table do I pull up? Thanks in advance to you gurus.

I have a similar question, do you think that would be a good map/starting point for an 07 FXDSE with the stock 110 and no mods, as of yet anyway?

I believe that would be the PQ176-002.

The list of maps comes with the program. It's pretty easy to determine which is best for a given build.

Thank you, since I have not gotten the TTS yet so I am trying to do as much homework as possible so I can reduce the learning curve.
