Hopefully weather permitting, this should be a good turnout. I will not be at the start point to ride with you guys. My family and I will be at the end point at the Sick Moon Saloon setting up for the riders. There will be an escort from Nassau Highway PD as well as bagpipers at the saloon.
The tentative route will start at the NYS State Trooper barracks on the Southern State Parkway, ride up north on the Cross Island Parkway onto the Northern State Parkway and then onto the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway. The route with the least amount of traffic lights will be used.
$25 is the registration fee which includes burgers and hot dogs. There will be a silent auction as well as a 50/50 raffle. T-shirts and cupcakes will be sold to also raise money for the Duffy family.
All types of bikes are welcome. I should have more info regarding this event when the day approaches. Det Duffy left a wife and 2 little girls behind. With the holidays quickly approaching, this will be a tough time of year for them. Please show your support.

ok guys listen, this is a bump, the weekend is fast approaching, and as it stands, im coordinating a pre event meet by my place to bring together unaquainted folks, and riders to get together and head east for the event.
Members of the Crushers, Highlanders, Name Knights, and a few others who are obviously going to be there will be in attendance.
If anyone lives in the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island Area, feel free to PM, ill write back, Hell ill even call you. but in case you're all a lil skiddish..
A contingent of riders and supporters will meet on Sunday morning approximately 8- 830am at the 7-11 on Knapp St. Just off the Knapp St exit of the Belt Parkway. To proceed east on the Belt Parkway.
We will make an additional stop on Cross bay Blvd to meet up with a second group of riders. and proceed en mass, to the Southern State Barracks of the NYSP.
Again, ALL bikes, are welcome, this isnt a harley, Rice Rocket, what eva ya wanna call it event.

OK. This is my final post before the event. Everything is in play. Kick stands up @ exactly 11:00am. Nassau PD has assigned 2 police chase cars (Chargers) to escort this event. The ride will be led by the Crushers MC and followed by other respected motorcycle clubs (Tomermented Souls, Forsaken Guns, Nam Knights, Blue Knights, etc). This event is also advertised on the WBAB web site. This event is for bike and car clubs as well. No rider will be turned away. This is a fund raiser event.
Upon arrival at the final destination (Sick Moon Saloon), the riders will be met by a lone bagpiper. Entertainment will be performed by an acoustic guitar player. The event will end by 3pm. Tshirts, raffles, silent auction, and cupcakes will be sold at this event to also generate extra money for the family.
Det Duffy's wife, his 2 daughters and his father will be at this event. This event will mean alot to his family. If you cant ride, you are more than welcome to drive behind the motorcade of motorcycles.

ahh **** blue, as in aww shucks blue, it was my pleasure to setup a meeting place for riders in brooklyn, so we can all go as a group and not straggle.
Rob, I posted a meting place in Bklyn, for those that are coming from Manhattan, portions of the Brooklyn Bay area, as well Staten Island.

the Union held a vote of sort.
not membership, but representation. voted mostly for keeping the 4/2 with the turnaround tour. i was surprised. i thought the majority wanted the switch. although the turn around works for me, because i like a short workweek... it is pretty damn brutal. it has been proven to ruin peoples family lives, marriages and even get people hurt or killed.

the second meet will be at the Crossbay Diner on 160th and CB blvd..at approximately 0900 hrs.
Im not organizing that meet so im not sure who, or how many will be there.
