Clean the throttle body with some brake or carb cleaner. Protect the motor finish from from over spray. Put the straw into the two holes at the top of each runner and clean them very good. Those holes are your idle air bleed holes and can get gummed up.
This sounds like very solid advice along with the others above.
If fuel / air is not right the spark plugs will be unable to ignite the fuel.
It would be over fueled at start-up and run sluggish until hot.
Could be as simple as condensation in fuel system and need a dose of dry gas or Heet. A little water in the gas goes an incredible long way. That is the least expensive thing to look at besides the plugs, airfilter and battery.
Today I checked and charged my battery today, also electrical connections (ok). I started it up and it started for a few seconds but it was sputtering and was struggling to stay at idle then it shut off and i couldnt get it started again (no smoke or leaks or any smells). Sunday I will be checking out the gas tank and then the throttle body as some of you suggested.
I would start with the easy stuff first like fuel filter and then the Crank sensor. If that does not fix your problem, then i would look at the MM EFI because they are known to go and when they start acting up most people just swap to a carb which is easy to do on this model.
I wasnt able to do too much to the bike but I took off the air cleaner and has a little oil in there. Does this sound like anything you guys have experienced and would this be something causeing my bad idle.
After cleaning off the oil I started the bike up and it did start but I had to hold the throttle a little so it wouldnt die but still was running a sluggish. Tomorrow going to take a look at the fuel filter and then down the list of suggestions.
