Black Hills, Day Trips
My buddy and I are doing the black hills in Mid June. We are going to base out of Hot Springs, and Have routes planned to Rushmore, Devils Tower, and the Bad Lands. Looking for other riders favorite rides. We deffinitley plany on hitting the biggies, Deadwood, Sturgis, etc. And are looking for roads that other riders love.

dont forget iron mountain rd and the pigtail bridges, thats my favorite road, ride it every morning when i'm there in august before it gets busy...usually do the loop thru custer and back to the needles hwy then out to hill city for breakfast

My top 3 are:
#1 - Iron Mountain Rd
#2 - Needles Highway
#3 - Spearfish Canyon
Runner up = HWY 79 out of Rapid City to Nemo & Sturgis.
Honorable Mention = Custer State Park loop

If you want to flat out haul some ***, take the road north out of Hullet, WY to Alzeda, MT. Four Corners to Sundance is fun also.

agree with all of the above. Make sure to stop at nemo guest ranch. super nice people and one of the coolest bars ever. IMHO crazy horse is a much better stop then Mt. Rushmore. (the ride up is great but the view from the parking lot is as good as the one in the visitor center and way cheaper. also Von aokker canyon is great.
