I had a VROD from 03-08. A very fun bike, but a comfortable two up seat ruins the looks of the bike IMHO. Additionally, the rear foot pegs are higher than other HD models which make the passenger more uncomfortable. I miss the HP, but not the two-up riding.

But then I didn't want to turn my bike into a tourer as all of the mods would ruin the looks of what the VROD was intended to be. You can make anything work with enough modifications.

Afish, Since you mentioned about the Muscle, I figured I show you what I did so far on mine:

I did a detachable Batwing fairing mod (No permanent changes on the muscle, made the FLH headlight cowl and faring fit by doing some mods and adding brackets) for touring:

And for around town or light touring: The oem detachable windshield:

I could interchange the look depending on my mood/ needs...or going long distance.
The bags have plenty of room compared to the other models.

Cool

Fish , why come here? everybody here has an 09 with 100k on it. No casual riders allowed only new riders with 10,000 moles a month.
If you dont have a bagger your not a true harley rider.http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...cons/icon6.gif

Here is a couple pics of my bagger vrod. This bike is ridden 2 up and touring 95% of the time. It has been from western New York to Sturgis 4 times 2 trips to Laconia and several 250 mile one day trips on weekends. This is the best performing, most comfortable and best reilable bike have owned in my 40 plus years of riding. I have only put 800 miles on my Ultra since i finished this bike. The one pic is the Harley ride-in show i took first and the other is the bikernet show i got second palce in Sturgis 2008. The one in the bikernet show shows the Turbo connection turbo i installed at Sturgis 2008.

Thanks i actually have to change it to 7 years this past October 23.

My wife and will say a prayer for Joyce and keep living everyday.

My wife just lost 2 sisters in the last 2 months after battling breast cancer for several years.

Cancer is a horrible sickness and i think is at epedemic status in my opinion. A lot more than the damn N1 virus.

Just traded my 07 vrscaw for a 10 road king. The worst thing about the rod for two up is the passenger pegs. I think there is a kit to mount them on the swingarm which would make it a lot better. I loved my vrod great bike never had so much as a hiccup and I rode the snot out of it. If your wife is short the pegs might not bother but my wife is 5'10" she didn't like to ride the vrod at all. Good luck
