Default What's the latest scuttlebutt about Model Year 2011?

It is a possibility that I could have an interest in a new 2011 HD - all things equal. Wondering what might be around/coming down the pike.

Toss it out, we'll chew on it - some.

I guy I know said his girlfriend's uncle is dating a girl who's father knows someone on the research and developement team for HD.

There will definately be a 110 inch, water cooled, touring model with air bags and ABS. But don't tell anyone, it's supposed to be a secret.

My great uncles next door neighbor's nephew's mailman told him that his 4th cousin's dentist's landscaper was talking with his auto mechanic's son in law about a guy they met in the Bahamas who knows someone in Minneapolis that went to visit their sick Aunt in the hospital in Milwaukee and while there overheard one of the nurses who is dating a guy who used to work at the MoCo two years ago saying the 2011 bikes would be water cooled.

Its a fact....

i heard from a reliable source that they are introducing a new sportier model which they are gonna try and market to the 1% crowd, apparently the SOA have agreed to try them out to see if thier prospective market can handle such a cool stylish powerhouse of a bike.
i also heard the yare gonna offer it wit ha blue racign stripe to make it faster for the LEO crowd
heres a demo model still in pre production phase

My dad says that because the end of the world is coming in 2012 that harley is just going to keep all the models the same and just badge them as 2011s. They're going to pocket all the money they save on no new engineering and invest it in a new style rocket ship that will allow them to set up a new colony on the moon. Anybody that buys a 2011 model will be eligible to join them on their new venture into the great unknown but they'll have to leave their bikes behind and buy new moonbikes when they get to their now home. Oh wait, I just remembered, dad died last year. Nevermind.

I heard that the MoCo isn't planning on building any bikes for 2011. They are offering an "upgrade" program.

For example, bring in your 2009 H-D and the Dealer through the MoCo will upgrade your VIN to 2010, 2010's will become 2011's, etc.

I heard that they were going to change all models to be water-cooled, 110", non-vibrating, non-noise making, Honda looking, Yamaha handling, training wheel enabled, psuedo-bikes. That ought to make a certain segment on this forum happy.
