Default Going to Nashville, Tn. any ideas?

A friend and I are planning a ride to Nashville at the end of November. We will be leaving from Jacksonville, Fl. The route will probably be I-10 to I-75 to I-24 into Nash. I am all ears for any suggestions or recommendations. Also, I know it will be cold, but are we crazy for going in late November?

Come across to the Gulf and check out New Orleans if you've never been there and then take one of the most peaceful roads in North America....The Natchez Trace.....it's not the most exciting but like i said it's peaceful and one of the best groomed roads around...

444 miles From Natchez to Nashville.....

That sounds good, however, I wouldn't have the time for something like that on this trip. Thanks for the input. I guess that I should have mentioned that I am working with four days.

Huh!!!

I guess the answer to your question is in the map in front of you.....the shortest route is on the Interstates going thru the least cities......simple answer to a simple question....

I'm really not sure what kind of info your looking for?????
You don't leave to much room for alternate routes with only 4 days............

I was looking for any suggestions for when I am in Nashville. Anything bike related or not. And, of course, things I should avoid. I have looked at the regular tourist things to do, but I want some info on things "off the beaten path".

If you have the time visit Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, TN. It is about 70 miles south of Nashville and about 25 miles off of I-24 at exit 111. Beautiful roads in the area. I happen to live about 20 miles from Lynchburg, so if you would like some tips for this area in southern middle Tennesse, just send me a message with your email address.

I'll be sure to ask for Linda at the cafe. Thanks for the ideas. Has anyone done the George Dickel Distiller Tour?

Downtown Nashville is where the clubs are, Wildhorse, BB Kings and Printers Alley. Not so great to try and ride a bike around downtown, the trolley system can get you around downtown.
Opryland hotel is a site to see during Christmas with their light display.
Bost H-D, Boswell H-D and Cool Springs are the local dealers if you collect glasses or t-shirts.
A little help.

I'll tell you right now that going through the mountains of southern TN and northern GA during late November COULD be tricky....especially on a bike. You can run right into snow if you're not watching it, TRUST ME. HOWEVER, as mentioned before, the Jack Daniels Distillery is a must. The Opry Mills hotel should be lit up by then, I think. Park the bikes and walk downtown (2nd AVE.) You can also get on I-40 east bound and hit the TN/NC mountains (Dragons Tail or Blue Ridge Parkway). The NC boarder is only about a 5 hour ride. Well worth the views in my opinion. DRESS WARM!!!!!!!
