Default Heat Demons Grip Warmers Installed

Just got done installing the Heat Demons Grip Warmers. These things do get hot, there are 4 settings and like alot of people that I read about I started them at level 4 to see hot hot they got and I turned them down to level 2 right now. I'm only wearing thin leather gloves at the moment and thats all I need now. Temps at night are around mid 40's to mid 50's right now. Nice thing is you can use stock grips.

Which version did you get? Did you keep the existing grips? How long did it take to install?

Got the Harley version for the 1" bars the install took me about 3 hrs I took my time and was in no rush. I changed my grips a while ago to the willie g skull grips. the left side grip just slides on and off. I gets fastened just like the stockgrips by the switch housing. The hardest part was fishing the wires through the bar from the right side to the left side but they give you a fish cable to pull it through. I have stock bars on my super glide. It should't be a problem with straight bars. Overall the install was actually easy, a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10 in my opinion. I got them from http://www.easternperformance.com/ only 98.00 cheapest that I found.
They do get hot that's for sure. I'll try to post pics tomorrow if I remember.
I really recommend them for heated grips.

With everything that you did yourself to your bike this install would be a no brainer for you.

I'm about to install them on my bike and help a friend on his. He got turn signals on the bar ends. Do these things get so hot that they can melt the insulation on the turn signal wires?

Default Installed the Heat Demons Finally

I bought mine at the end of Winter, but spent more time riding than doing anything to the bike. So, I finally installed them last Sunday and these things cook. I did the install in an hour and the 1" HD kit looks pretty sano. I did the same as many others and put them on level 4 and had my winter gloves on, they got to warm, REAL WARM and I kicked it down to 1 and it was perfect in the sub 50s.

I was thinking of using these, but was not keen on the epoxy glue to hold the grips on. Anyone have a problem gluing the grips or the glue coming loose after a while due to the heat? Also, any problems with internally wired bars?

i have cheap knock offs on my sport touring, kind i have on my snowmobile (heat pads that slide under the grip) the suck i wish i would not have been so cheap and popped for these... it was 30* on my ride to work today... COLD HANDS!!!! got to get upgraded versions before the snow comes... my goal is to ride all winter long no matter the weather (as long as it is not snowing of course) i want to see if i can leave my truck parked for most of the winter
