Saw the post on a search. Looking at a 10 wide glide aswell. Im in Ca and dealer will do a vivid black with alarm for 16500 otd. What do u guys think. Anyone have invoice on these......thanks for any help and im new to the forum.....
I bought a 2010 SE Ultra for MSRP no freight, no set up. Don't pay for the rack or installation. They can do that as part of the deal. Don't be afraid to lean on em a little. The markup on that bike is significant. If they wont do it, consider going elsewhere.

Sounds like a normal deal, better than walking in and handing them the KY Jelly, and not as good as some claim to get. Get the bike, enjoy the bike, and if anyone asks, claim that you paid $3000 under MSRP and you get a 40% discound on parts and labor forever (and a free shirt!)
I think this is the way most people come up with all of these KILLER deals we read about. ...................Anyway it is a really good answer!
Here in Louisville the sales guy that I bought from said they don't deal off msrp untill after Christmas,thats when you can do better but only till early spring.
I just received a quote on a 2010 blue/black Ultra Limited for MSRP+$380 freight+$395 dealer prep+$190 doc fee+$20 process fee+tax&title = $26,986.20. spend $750 in parts get 10%, spend $1000 get 15%, spend $1500 get 20% + 10% on labor. WOW! Really like the bike but not at this deal. They'll have to come up with a better one or I'll be looking elsewhere. Too bad really as I'd rather deal locally but...
How accurate is this, if you don;t mind how did you come about this, I thought it was a national secret...

The "Ready to sell cost" is the cost of the machine sitting on the showroom floor with NO PROFIT to a dealer. Dealers do not stay in business very long by selling machines for no profit.
Many dealers charge additional fees for "Freight and Setup" over and above the selling price of the machine. Add the "Selling Price" to the "Freight and Setup" charges and subtract the "Ready to sell cost" to determine the PROFIT a dealer is asking to make. Dealers in most states are required to collect sales tax and title fees for the state. These fees are not profit to a dealer.

you may need to be willing to fly and ride home, or drive/train/bus and ride home, but the savings can be quite worth it. I will tell you now.. withing 50 miles of home i am coming in way under that. they are willing to work with the trade in price a bit above kelly and nada too.

Actually I use to work there selling bikes although that was 10 yrs ago. Different owner also. I sold my bike in in 05 and have stayed out of biking since. Am just now, with wife's urging/nagging, getting another one. When I was there, demand far out stripped supply and the dealer named his price where ever he wanted it and got. We sold Ultras back then for 23k+ and a 99 or 00 bike does not compare to whats being made today.
