Default Ooops, wrong seat on my Dyna.

I wanted a nicer seat than that waifer thin thing that the moco puts on Low Riders, so I found a used extra wide Mustang seat on ebay. Man, Dyna's are just to sleek (IMHO) for big fat touring style seats. Even with the choncho's and studs, its just not the look I was hoping for. I think this style seat in the standard size would be perfect for me, but for now I'm stuck with this monster unless I want to put the stocker back on. Oh well, I guess I can just put it on ebay and look for a different seat and try again. Am I just imagining this or does the whole bike look rear lopsided?

I did the same mistake. Everyone vouches about sundowner, I got from a forum member put that on, it looked downright ugly.
Now the seat is on sale @ ebay. Came back to a solo seat for now.

Come spring, my wife will start using passenger so I need to find one pillion seat for her....still got loads of time till spring

Naw, I have thick skin. I think its obvious that this bike was thought out and created buy a girl...namely my wife. Still, the seat just looked to dang big. Maybe I'm just to sensitive. And not in the gay manly sensitive way, but in the "dude, its fine just ride it" kinda way.

In the shot provided, I don't think it looks all that bad. How about a shot from the side?

If it's comfortable and not cumbersome, I'd keep it. It looks pretty nice to me!

On the practical side, that seat will pay dividends in comfort on the days where you have long rides. I have the same solo seat and plan on buying a thiner sleaker solo for the short trips. Seat changes are fast and easy, so why not?

The wider seat provides support for your thighs, lower back more cushion for the tush.
It might look ugly, but if you're old, have a wide load, prior back surgeries, weak bladder or ride long distances......you'll know why people use them. My sundower eliminated the thighs and butt numbness and excruciating pain I had going down my left leg after 50 miles. Anyone who saw Wild Hogs when Dudley pulled into the Biker bar, got off his bike and fell over KNOWS what he was experiencing.
The older one gets, the more comfort trumphs style.
I'd keep the Mustang. They're not going to get any cheaper, and someday you may rue the day you sold it. Ya never know.
