Well Lynn's arm was bothering her today but she wanted to go for a ride still.
So she asked if I wanted to go for a ride on her TG together.
I asked "REALLY" and you on back ? She said YUP !
It wasn't a long ride (only 50 miles) but I got to really put it through its paces
with a passenger aboard. Picked a nice mix of roads where I could see how it handled
the way I like to ride sometimes .... pushing the speed limit more than usual ;-)
Well I enjoyed it ALOT ! I swear it holds the road better than my 07 Ultra and
suspension wise (shocks) it even felt better. Again I liked the way you can ride
and look around and the trike holds the road and does not wander. I must say
though going through some what tight turns you do have to put more effort
than a 2 wheeled bike. The sweeper type of turns were a breeze and fun
because I could actual crank a little more power coming out of them.
By half way through the ride I decided it was just like riding my snowmobile !
Well minus the snow and the frezzing cold.... LOL ....
Yes more and more I see ANOTHER trike in our stable someday ;-)
Rob .....

They are a blast to ride. One thing I noticed when I was hammering the twisty's is it will give you some warning when you get close to pushing to much. I've hit some tight corners way higher than the suggested speed, when reaching its limit I was able to feel the front tire start skipping as it was being pushed past the limit of traction. I can see where riding aggressive for miles would start to wear you out from the extra effort needed to get through the corners at higher speeds.

Default No thread hi-jacking meant........

I may have mentioned this in another thread but I have been waiting for months for a red hot sunglow 2010 TG Ultra. I've stuck with the same dealer for over 8 years --- 2 bike purchases, 2 consignment sales, good service treatment and good location. In July, I was told they would not be receiving a rhsg TG Ultra in 2009 but could make a request to the MoCo for a color change from black to rhsg.
At this date, I guess nearby dealers have received their allocated rhsg TGs for the last quarter. Still no TG at my dealer. Trying to keep my cool, I continually bug the dealer sales manager. He has filed complaints with the area sales manager to make something happen.
Finally, this week, something may happen. The dealer is trying to work out a swap with a dealer elsewhere that has a rhsg TG Ultra. I hope to hear GOOD news before the week is out. If not, I will take my business elsewhere.
Wish me luck!

Boon, you certainly are more patient than I am!

After H-D changed my ship date three times, I got aggravated and found a dealer with a TG in stock. The TG I bought was ordered for a customer and the financing fell through and was actually sold two more times and those deals also fell through so the dealer was willing to deal. In retrospection, the screw-up’s benefited me but it sure was aggravating!

Good luck and I hope this week brings you the good news you are looking for!

Thanks Jim. It almost sounds like I will be relying on a "deal-fall-through". I shudder to think that all the rhsg TGs are pre-sold in my area. My dealer is still trying to sell me a black TG or blue/silver TG they have in stock. With the amount of money I intend to invest, I'm sticking with the color request. I don't intend buying another bike/trike for a long time to come.

Boom,
Good luck I hope you will be riding your new ride by next week. I love the Trike but with
my arm given me some pain I don't want to make it worse by riding so for now I will be Rob's bitch. I didn't mind riding on back last weekend but don't want to do it tooooo often..LOL
I also would stick with the color you have been waiting for it is worth it.
Lynn

Lynn, lol, look at it this way......while sitting behind him, you can occasionally stick a wet finger in his ear just to annoy the crap out of him! You can also look at all the scenery without worrying about steering and braking!

Boon, here is another thought; presently there are two 2009 Sun Glow Red TG’s for sale on e-bay. One is from a dealer and the other is a pretty much loaded TG from a private party and as I recall, both have fewer than 4k miles.

Seems to me that because of the economy, winter and up coming holiday season, this is a great time to deal on a motorcycle. Also there may be some benefits in getting a 2009!

Just a thought, once again good luck!

Yea, the one in Wisconsin is an exceptional beauty. He has some bucks invested in that...............http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...f9cd426d#v4-38 .
Looking at the realtor's sign in front of the house, I can see why he may have to get rid of his trike. We're still in some tough economic times.
Even if I would win the bid, the logistics involved in picking it up and bringing it back makes waiting for a brand-new one seem a bit less stressful.

Hey don't give her any ideas .... LOL .....
I am surprised she didn't hit me in the back of the head when we rode
and I was .... ahhhh .... TESTING .... ya that is a good word ;-)
How much I could push her trikes limit on the roads we ride.
Like I wrote already ... It pasted with FLYING colors !
I firmly believe HD knew all the Red Hot Sunglo's would either sell or
were already sold before delivery and that was why they made them
last. Hope you get yours soon !
