i bought a black , late 78 (aka 78 & 1/2) low rider in june or july of 78 after my honda 550 got smashed by a left turner . went straight to the dealer to pick it up after getting the cast off my leg 
price worked out to $6000 (canadian) out the door . back then the warranty was 6 months or 6000 miles , so at 6001 miles i swapped out the pipes , air cleaner , risers and bars to make it mine
if i recall correctly it did come with the oil cooler and cover , but the sissy bar , pad and bag were extras . that may have been a canadian thing though , but i know the advertising photos didn't have those because i still have one in my wallet !
sure loved that bike , and put about 20k miles on it in the next 3 years before it too was lost to a left turner . more hospital time for me , and i haven't ridden since . been getting the bug lately though , just waiting to put together enough cash to buy something . maybe next year ....
