They make a crap load of differant products and you are looking at something differant.
The price is $324.25

Where are you getting this price at for the 49 tooth clutch sprocket? I would assume their old website, and if you try to order it from that site it may look like it takes your order but it doesn't. I was the one that posted the new prices on these items.

This is a link to the new site and 49 tooth clutch sprocket:
http://www.evoindusa.com/

From Evo's website:
EV:1010-1211 Sprocket and Ring Gear Set 49 Tooth. Fits 2006 Dyna and 2007 and Later Softail and Dyna. Includes Custom Primary Chain.
List Price 482.54

EV:1010-1221 Sprocket and Ring Gear Set 49 Tooth Fits 2007 and Later Touring Models Includes Custom Primary Chain.
List Price 482.54
Attached is a spreadsheet of the options to change your final drive ratio on 07 & 08 touring bikes, using a chain primary and belt final drive:

First is the Stock setup with a 2.79 final ratio in 6th gear.
Second is the Andrews 30 tooth pulley & new shorter final drive belt, a final drive ratio of 2.98
Third is the Evo Industries 49 tooth primary 49 tooth clutch sprocket, a ratio of 2.97
Four is the Evo Industries 30 tooth (non-compensator) primary motor sprocket, a ratio of 3.16
Fifth is the Andrews 30 tooth pulley with the 07 Sportster 68 tooth rear pulley, a ratio of 3.07

Depending on what fuel management system you have you can compensate for that. I have the Zippers set up and I was told it can be done. I don't know what kit I bought but I know for the 07 I had to go with a new clutch basket and ring gear. Can't remember where I bought it, but it's at the shop waiting to be installed. The bearing needs to be pressed in it.

I did this swap on my 07 over 1.5 years ago and am very happy with the upgrade. I did lose the 6th gear light but no worries there as I know the gear that I am in anyway. As for the install it is really straight forward and easy to do. Remove the outer primary and the compensator and clutch basket with the chain. Before you can remove the clutch basket you need to remove the clutch plates. Try to keep them in order but it is not tragic if they get mixed up.Once this is removed you can take the clutch basket to a workbench and proceed. Drill out the old rivets and then countersink holes for the new bolts that are supplied. Go slowly so the heads are flush with the clutch basket but don't go too far and take too much material away. Then reverse this procedure and ride. This is one of the best mods I have done to my bike yet and highly recommend it. Install difficulty on a scale of 1-5 with one being an oil change I would put this at a 3. PM me with any questions. I could scan and email the instructions that came with the kit to you too.

BTW I chose this option for 2 reasons originally. 1 not wanting to lose the compensator, these motors are known to twist so better safe than sorry. 2 I didn't want the larger gear ratio changes the 30T would give.

That price is wrong or else you're looking at the 46 tooth gear (stock) that they also sell...

Let us know how the install goes. If need be PM me and I will give you my cell # in case you have any issues during the install. Pretty straight forward though if you have the shop manual. You will like the change.

Can you swap to the 49 tooth clutch basket gear and still use the stock primary chain?

(I found this old thread while Googling for info). So far what I have read implies that the chain would need to be swapped as well. I won't give up my SE Compensator to do anything with the other gear.
