I did run the stock tranny for the first 30k miles but now have a Baker DD7 and have 14k on it without issues. I did not change out the stock tranny due to any issues, it was just something I wanted to do to try different gear ratios.
I appreciate the replies I am gonna call a couple machine shops tomorrow and get some quotes on machine work. If I get a jims storker crank im guessing I wont need to pay to rebalance it?? or would I.. If the crank is new is it be just a matter of welding the flywheels. I just wanna get a realistic idea of what this build is gonna cost. A part of me is leaning toward the 95 because its cheap and will leave me money for stretched bags and fenders and wheels than the other side wants more motor than what i got in the Deuce.. thanks again for your responses
I am contemplating having stroker built for my 02 FLHT. I was wondering if stock TC88 heads cam be reworked if I decide to build a 113 or bigger. Thanks
I have used stock heads on up to 117's with great success. Best for early torque for heavy hauling.
