mreed: Adjustable high quality struts, what a concept! Those are very cool; great job!

Once you put on the struts how do you tighten the belt?

Losen your rear axle nut, slightly. Then with the rear wheel off the ground, take your axle adjuster nut(1/2 or 9/16)wrench and slowly retract your axle one side at a time making sure you mirror the other side per turn of the wrench. If it take two half turns on one side,do the same on the other assuming your axle was straight to begin with. If not? use a measuring device. I use a piece of welding rod that i put a 90deg bend on one end and slip an o-ring on the other end and find a measuring point that's equal on both sides of your swing arm.

I made them out of DOM tube and QA1 brand heim joints. Cut, knurled & swedged the tube to length, tapped one end RH and the other LH, and put a jam nut on the LH side so I remember which way it turns to loosen.

With the RH & LH ends the bike's height will change simply by twisting the knurled tube while they are installed. The jam nut locks it in place when it is where you want it.
