Default squeaky brakes

Squeaky brakes on a Harley is as expected as the "Harley" exhaust rumble. Just pull in the clutch and rev it a little while stopping to cover up the squeak.

No seriously it is a very common problem. Harley wants you to clean the brake dust off after every ride or the brakes will squeak and your wheels will begin to pit. The dealer told me this before I got off the lot and they were correct. When I replaced my rear the brake kit was new version with little pads to glue on the back of the brake pad. New hardware with a slight change in one of the holding pins also if I remember correctly. I also scratched up the rotor with some emery cloth before putting back together. My fronts are worn and doing that while down for cam work.

Good luck.

I had he squeel when going slow from the front wheel with no brakes applied. I replaced the rotors with EBC floating contour rotors and lyndal gold pads and not a peep after 10k miles.

I did a rear brake clean and anti squeek install on mine. Worked so far.
Anti squeek, comes in a tube at your local auto parts store. Its a blue paste like substance in a tube?

Found my receipt and it shows Service bulletin # M-1228. Also, the part number for the Anti-Noise Paste is 42551-08 ($9.95).

Mine started squeaking at about 100miles, got worse and worse. Had the service bulletin work done at 3000 when it got so loud it was embarrassing. Not a peep from the brakes since then with over 5000 more miles.

Had a Road King Classic that I put Kevlar brake pads on. Can't remember the brand but it took care of the squeeks and drastically cut down the brake dust on the wide whitewall tires.

I have a 2005 RK and had some squeaking after I pulled the front wheel to have the tire changed. After some miles it went away, I don't think it has so much to do with the brand of pad your using I think your pads are not seated correctly and the squeaking you hear is actually vibration between the pad and the rotor.
