Leaf Blower vs. Compressed Air
I was about to buy a reasonably priced leaf blower to dry my bike off with after washings, but one guy I ride with was like, "nah, leaf blowers won't do you any good, you need to use compressed air". What's the general consensus here? I've read of people using leaf blowers, here, which is why I was going to buy one, but I haven't read of any one using compressed air (or do I just not read enough?).

I dont know why it would make any difference, youre just basically blowing the water off the bike. I just use my old scuba tanks from my paintball days with a co2 regulator and blow gun tip works fine.

Well. Air compressor will have higher PSI. Which will blow more water off faster. With an air nozzle you can get into tighter places than the leaf blower. Both will get the job done a lot better than a Sham Wow.

Use a leaf blower, using a compressor builds up condensation, and blows on your bike. You will also find in compressed air, there is oil and fine metal particles in the air. I certainly do not want little metal fillings bouncing off my paint.

+1 on that! If you don't or have not drained the tanks in an air compressor after EVERY use, forget it! All sorts of sh-it blows outta the air chuck. Leaf blower takes a little while but works perfect.
