6'1 275...rides just fine for me...sure its a little cramped but what do you expect with mid controls...i like the street bob....its heavier...thats about it.

also get a taller seat. i have a badlander for 2-up riding that i use all the time due the comfort...it picks me up off the ground more..

i am 5 ' 10" , 190 lbs and wanted to buy the olive colored nightster. went down to the store and sat on it and was not impressed with the fit. sat on the 1200C and felt fine so that is what I bought.
How could you sit on the bike and then be like, hey, a little tight, but I will buy it?
Did it come with a free flesh light or something?

I'm 6' 250lbs and I don't have a problem at all riding my 2001 Sportster with mid controls/highway pegs.
Every rider is different and has a different perception of comfort. The combo of mid and highway pegs makes it better for me so I can move my legs around. I ended up adding highway pegs to my Ultra as well for the same reason. Keeping my legs in one spot for any extended time hurts.

As others have said, you will save money by fitting the Nightster instead of buying a new bike.
The 3 things that will change the feel/fit of the bike are handlebars, seat and forward/mid controls. Once you find the right combo of all 3 you will be cruising all day long with no problems.

Dude, if you feel uncomfortable, especially if its to the point that you feel safe, get a bigger bike if you think that will help. I have seen bigger guys on a Sporty, I am 6' and 210 lbs and ocassionally ride the wife's Iron. While it is a fun bike, I HATE putting it on the highway. I not only am more comfortable on the Road King, but I feel a whole lot safer. By telling you this in here, I am sure there will be some sideways comments directed at me, but the bottom line is, you do what is right for you.
