Default was just pondering...

"Get a copy of their annual report. They are a public corporation and required to send it to anyone who asks. "

I was just wondering about their profit margin...
I work for a big company and their big drive is TSR, total shareholder return, regardless of NOS. If a product line isn't above or have a sustainable plan to reach 12% it gets the axe or is sold.

I hope "Small Parts" does not include things like critical engine bits like pistons, cylinders,
etc ?

I surely hope things continue in a possitive direction for the plant to remain in York, PA.
I bought a new one last year ...
And another new one this month.
Not sure I can afford any more stimulus spending.

The next thing is parts will be made in China and you can have plastic chrome parts like a Metric bike.

Plan on getting chrome forks for my Ultra next Spring. If your comment above's correct, I will not purchase them and save my $500 plus dollars for an extra vacation trip next summer.

Outsourcing sucks,

How true that is. We are always looking for a back up chrome house but try finding a place the actually does Show Chrome.

HD suspension is made by Showa, a Japanese company. I can appreciate the want to buy an American made product, but If you don't want to buy chrome forks for your bike because they may not be made in the USA then you might as well sell the bike as the brakes are Itialian, wiring harness and most electronic parts are Japanese along with the suspension.
