I love my Rinehart's and wouldn't trade them for the World, but those power duals seem to have addressed the burning of the left leg issue. Very slick design.

Actually I got at least 95% of it out when I drilled it and that is plenty to let it breath which is what you want.

Plus I can't believe that Fullsac is actually advertising what they are doing as it is against Federal Law for them to advertise cutting out CAT's for on road use.

They make it for the 2010 too

My understanding is that Vance and Hies has NOT released anything yet for the new 2-1 2010 Models and it will probably be December before they do.

If your bike is a non California model, you don't have em.If it is,then yes you should be able to destroy a $1100 head pipe.Regards,Tom

I agree with you Big Pig........looks like the EPA would be down on them in a heartbeat. I read all through the other link that the CVO guys have wrote and I ordered the bit from McGills. Still a little concerned...

I bought a set of non-cat take-off headers for $90 for my '09 SG. I'll store the original headers for future smog tests.

I would think that it would not be difficult to install '09 headers on a 2010 bike since some touring models are 2-1-2 and some are 2-1. I quick look at the 2010 Touring Parts Manual should show which parts are required to do the conversion.

I drilled the cats out of 2010 Ultra using the core bit from McGill Tools. Very hard drilling, took probably 30-40 minutes of drill time plus a couple breaks to rest my arms. The cat measured 5 inches and came out in a nice plug. Held it up to the light and very little light comes through, don't see how the motor even runs with that much in there. Rode about 250 miles the next day. Very noticeable difference in the amount of heat on right ankle area, little louder with the Rineharts. No codes, already had SE breather and Stage 1 download. My 2 cents worth to anyone with a 2010, drill it out!!! I know that don't get all of it but gets enough to reduce heat and let her breathe a little better.

While I totally believe in free flowing exhaust on the Harley, remember who is running Congress and the White House at this moment. These people fully believe in reduced (or no) emissions, EPA and global warming which could mean nationwide vehicle emission testing in the very near future. If that occurs, an $1100 headpipe converter that has been drilled out could get real expensive to replace, not counting any fines or restrictions placed on you should big gov find out.

If the pipe can be replaced and you can hang onto the converter, I would recommend this.
