Loose rear turn signal bar

Loose rear turn signal bar
Was wiping the bike down yesterday and noticed the rear turn signal bar is a little loose. Just by looking at it, I'm assuming the bolts to tighten it are behind the fender and I will have to remove the rear wheel, correct?

The rear turn signal bar on my 09 EGCb wasn't loose but it was mounted crooked.It was down on the left side,no problem getting a wrench up there without removing the wheel.Now all is well....lol

Mine came loose a few weeks ago. A small 1/4" socket and ratched fit without problem. I just had to BARELY turn the wrench to tighten it up.

Thanks so much guys!! Actually layed down and looked up there and could see both bolts and YES I could reach in there (barely) and gave both of them maybe a 1/4 turn if that and it's nice and tight now.

You may find that they loosen again. Best method is to remove one at a time and apply Loctite. You can get plenty of room by jacking up the rear of the bike and removing top or bottom shock bolts.

I have changed my rear signal bar and didn't need to remove anything to swap it out. Just had to get my hand up in there. Actually took longer to clean my hands afterward than it did to perform the swap. (the inside of that fender does get pretty dirty!)
