Default 09 Street Bob Burly Slammer Lowering Kit

Just installed, I was afraid my 230lb *** would bottom out but with the spanner wrench provided and a little adjustment with the preload, I find the ride not that bad at all. Here is a some pics. Overall the bike is lowered 2".

Very nice! Looks damn good! Love those burly springs! Can't imagine how the ride would be.

so how hard was it to install? I know the rear shocks are easy, but the front shocks......is it a drop in kit? My wife has the same bike and I need to lower it for her so she can reach the ground easier, plus it looks so much better lowered. I have heard you have to do something with the wiring on the tail light if you go 2" in the rear.
Your bike looks great, you gotta ditch those reflectors on the rear fender and forks though IMO

Really looks great. This is something I would like to do in the coming year. I would like to know a few things, how is the handling now, what about two up riding?

Just did my install of the Burly kit yesterday on my 2007 Bob. It's very easy, but you do have to have the right tools, otherwise you'll probably make things worse.

Front is indeed a drop-in kit, very easy to install. Just take your bars off, unscrew the top cap (be aware there quite a lot of pressure from the springs inside), take the original parts out, put the Burly parts in and screw the top back on.
There is a video on Youtube about the Progressive drop-in kit, they show you how to do it.

I also changed out my kickstand to a shorter one.

I do have a question for you jss1975snow, did you put the burly spacers in with the front suspension (the plastic one)?
