I'm going with the NRHS 1250 kit and their head work once I get the fueler problem solved for my 2010 model.

I'm shooting for 90-95 reliable HP...Who cares about MPG, lol!

I too have an 09' Iron and added the SE 1200 kit upgrade witht he air filter. I also did the remapping and kept my stck mufflers. WOW! I have about 750 miles on it and I was just chatting the other day about how much awesome power it has now compared to the 883. I have to tell ya if you're just getting a 1200 put in, give it some mies before you expect to feel the diffrence. I am thrilled that I got the 1200 put in. I was able to keep my warranty since I got it done in my dealership shop and kept the stock mufflers.

With the upgrade to 1200 did any of you already have a Power Commander? Did you have to upgrade that or are you able to keep your orginal?

thanks, FM20

09 Iron. What was the HD part number for your SE Conversion Kit. Was it
HD Screamin' Eagle Sportster Stage I Conv Kit #29784-07 which is Black Highlites. Do you know if they make the same kit in grey? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Want to stay with Harley Parts

Thanks

Feel it was worth the cost for conversion, I'm happy and when it all boils down to it, thats all that matters. The Iron with the conversion still cost me less than a Nightster and I like the flat black of the Iron, shorter bars, and feel of the bike compared to the feel and colors available with a Nightster, although there are plenty of super nice Nightsters out there.
And to think it used to cost about $500 to do the basic 883-1200 upgrade! I think we've regressed not progressed.

What was included in the "$500"??

Did that include new XL1200 heads along with the pistons, cylinders (or cylinder boring in the older models), and SE intake?

I know in the past you could get away with just boring the stock 883 cylinders, but even so, $500 seems like a low cost for the intake, boring of cylinder heads, and new heads, even if you performed all the labor yourself.

Default Rocker boxes

I have a 2014 sporty and wanted to do this conversion. I know I'll probably have to replace gaskets but the kits say I'm going to have to replace the rocker boxes as well. Have any of you had to change out the boxes?

I'm getting the kit from revzilla.
