Default MC jack handy for Triglide?

Getting a triglide for Xmas,I go south for the winter.I load my yellow Sears MC jack and used it often for my Ultra.Do any of you folks use an MC jack on your trike for maint. or detailing?

I have noticed that there are not a lot of people posting here and many of the posts really condemn the Triglide. In parts of the country they are really in demand and folks love'm.

thanks in advance,

Your Sears MC jack will be of no value on your TG. There has been some heat issues with the 2010 TG and folks are just venting their frustrations. I am for the most part very happy with my 2009 TG. It rides and handles very well. The most important thing is my wife loves it and the way it rides. We do alot of long distance touring.

Love my TriGlide! The problems are really very minor and the joys far outweigh the warranty items that need fixing. I have the 2009, so can't speak for the 2010.

I don’t think that any TG owners on this forum are “condemning” the Tri-Glide; we are just an outspoken group of owners that aren’t willing to bury our head in the sand and say that the TG is perfect when it is NOT! I love my TG, I put on over 10k of mod’s and would not part with it; I KNOW that I could win a Lemon Law suit but that would mean that I would have to give up my TG! Am I p---ed with the TG…NO WAY! Am I p---ed at MOCO… YOU BET I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures of how I service and detail my Tri-Glide.

We have an '09 TriGlide - I post a lot here passing on the info regarding our TriGlide; our travels; pictures, etc...

We love our '09 and we have over 26,000 miles and have done a lot of long-distance travelling, same as a number of other folks posting here...

Had to stop riding beginning of September due to health problems with my hubby - hopefully, things are looking good but don't want to say we can ride again, yet...

Default No need for jack

I have the same jack you have, and I do not believe there is a way to lift the whole TriGlide with it. You can probably find a way to lift either the front or the back, but not both.

On the positive side, I have not yet found a need to lift it. I do the service myself, with the trike sitting on the floor. When I need to rotate the wheels, as when washing it, I simply leave it in neutral and push it around by hand in the driveway. It is so easy to move around, that it is much easier to wash than a two-wheeler. I still use the jack for washing my Ultra, but I can wash the TriGlide much more quickly.

Default We're not really negative

I know what you mean about many of the posts on this forum sounding negative, but I believe that with very few exceptions, the posters here really love their TriGlides. However, if you notice, most of these people seem to be very meticulous about taking care of their cycles, cars, homes, garages, etc. In other words, I think many of these people probably expect an expensive trike to match the perfection that they seek in most of their pursuits. So, it is normal for them to note the things that are not perfect about the TG. Having said that, you will also notice that virtually all of them say they love the TG. Kind of like loving a girl, but wishing she didn't have warts. That's fair.
